THE FINAL SHOW IN COLUMBUS
HARD RD. CAFE 2

THE SETUP

My first set-up without Marty or Jessica...I did alright. But pissed the whole time. This show was supposed to be at Brian Boru's and it was changed the day before. Then 4 hours before the lady asked me to play 7 - 11 so the bartender could go home. No, not on 4 hours notice. So I was very bummed. But this was THE LAST SHOW in Columbus. I'm ready for LA.

THE PERFORMANCE
SET 1: HARRY - PARODY 1 - RHYTHM
SET 2: LIFE - BLONDE & DRUNK - SLIDE (+ BREAD) - PARODY 2
SET 3: LOVE - ABBEY

Whew, the performance and reaction are highly tied together, so I'll just get to that.

THE REACTION

Worst reaction ever. Even to the point where the last two sets I was singing new lyrics about how bad I hated the people inside the bar. Basically 3 drunk guys saying how much I sucked ALL night long. Every chance they had to yell "You suck". It was so bad. But near the end it became fun. I kept thinking about the warm sun in LA. The opportunities. The everything. Jessica's family was there. And that was what really pissed me off. They were just trying to listen and have fun. And this guy was just obnoxious. Once the family left it got ugly. But I was rarin' to go. I just kept singin' shitty lyrics. And by the end I was so energized with hatred and anxst. It was cool. You know someday those dopey bastards are gonna see me on TV and try to be all "Hey! I saw him when he was here..." And anyone who gives a shit can READ what actually happened and see that that guy is full of shit. Very few of you came out and were cool, and those who did - hell I can count you on my hands. Thank you all so much. Jim Tatz and your brother...I dunno...THANK YOU. You rock. You were the only people from the mailing list to come to my last show and I hope for YOUR sake you can say you were there. AHHHHH...I'm still buzzin' with energy. I am ready to go. Goodbye Columbus, I'm sorry it didn't work out. And son of a bitch it's 7 degrees right now. GOOD LORD. As ROMEY would say (another LA resident) LATE! I'm OUT!...
