Sampler was the top downloaded acts on Columbusmusic.com's
website in late 1999. Featuring 12 acts, 5 of which played their anniversary
party including Adam, this is what Columbus music scene sounded like at
the turn of the century. Kontras' cut, "Come To" is what co-founder
of the site, Jason Clayton, called "Bad Ass A Capella" and we
agree. It's a catchy pop tune that shows of Kontras' impeccable vocal
arranging. Adam in his own words:
"When I was a kid, I used to
look at the records my father recorded and always thought it was cool
that he was part of the QFM-96 "Hometown"
album in 1978. 20 years later I'm a part of my generation's equivalent
and I couldn't be more proud. When future generations look back on the
Columbus music scene, they'll come upon track 6 and think...'what the
hell?'. Bad Ass A Capella Baby..."
