- THE
SET-UP
Alrighty...two flights
of stairs - on a fire escape no less, in the rain. These
add up to a rather shitty set-up. I HURT after this
show. Singing takes a lot out of you, but lifting all
that stuff up those stairs...whew. At some places
I actually had to hold the TVs out OVER the railing
on the fire escape. Marty and I were freakin' out. I
can't believe nothing slipped. Otherwise, everything went
rather smoothly.
- THE PERFORMANCE
- SET 1:
OPEN 1 - PARODY 1 - HARRY -
RHYTHM
- SET 2:
LOVE - UNPLUGGED - PARODY 2 -
BURG
- SET 3:
HATE - ABBEY ROAD - PARODY
2
-
- Felt good. Great
Sound...It was a nice dark enclosed room and I could
hear everything very well...nice mix of hi and low
ends. Did the full Burg set for the first time in
probably 2 months. It was fun...wow "Impossible" is
just depressing. I'm liking the Harry Set a lot more
recently. I just like singing it, and
I think it shows. I know it's not as exciting as
the parody sets and there are very few amusing
moments, but it sounds good. It's nice to get back to
what this act was made for...singing. Again, the
parody sets definitely took the cake. Onto the
REACTION:
-
- THE REACTION
-
- "ENCORE!!" This
was nice. Near the end the staff of FM came upstairs
to watch and they loved it. It was very cool. Again,
very few people were there (I sure as hell wouldn't
have gone out on a stormy wednesday night)...but those
who watched had fun. A cook said he thought they would
"go with me" during the week to try to pull people in
on early nights. Word-of-mouth will do that. Not sure
on a Tuesday night though. We'll see. Again, everyone
loved the sex set (Parody 2). You can't beat the
bi-song. It just works. Me being the smug chauvanist
male assuming she's CAN'T be a lesbian, she must be
BI. It's funny. Surprisingly they really got
the interraction. Everytime a TV would say
something smart
ass they
would chuckle. The interraction really is the future,
but without an assured captive audience I can do no
more than one-liners. Anyway, great reaction...fun
night...cool bar. Cannot do it for free anymore
though. So we'll just see what happens.
