Now this was livin. Got to see the
movie over 3 weeks before it came out, and on Fox's
Lot in a screening room. All the press was there. It
was quite cool. This lot isn't open to the public as
many other lots are, so I definitely felt like the
shit. The screening room will be in my house
someday...WOW. How cool.
As we walked out, the first thing
Eric and I said to each other, was that one of the tvs
has to be animated. I was half joking, but said it
could be done. I animated an earlier 4tvs set with The
Boyles, it just took me for-fucking-ever. We couldn't
escape it...one Adam had to be animated. So I'm a
cartoon!!!! Just like The Jacksons! :-)
The filming was done the same day
as pilot 2, and so were the tvs. The live TVs were
pretty easy since there was one less, but the actual
editing just took forever. And I do mean forever. I
was bummed because the guy who did the drawings didn't
have a clue about animation. Basically you need a
mouth closed, and all the vowel sounds. If you want
any expressions, you do a mouth closed and all the
vowel sounds with the expression. Unfortunately this
guy did mouth open and closed. And then a bunch of
expressions. That isn't helpful whatsoever. It made
the animating very difficult, but it works alright. A
cute Movie Minded as well. I dug this movie. Too
bad audiences were confused. It was for
adults...period. Great
soundtrack too.
