Well, after finally getting the
server problems worked out, I can actually give
you guys an idea about what I'm so excited about.
Scott Storck (old-school Late Show Fan) has lent me
some server space so I can put all the journal entry
movies up and not piss off quicknet. That will also in
time let me put all the mp3s of the late show bits up
as well as...the Movie Minded episodes. Now mind you,
once the show gets sold, I will not be able to
put these up until that show's week is up. So to see
the latest episode, you'll have to visit whichever
site has it. But for now, I can introduce the
history of Movie Minded. A project I'm extremely
excited about. As you may have guessed looking at the
site, or even by talking to me...nothing makes me
happier than being able to log and number parts of my
past. And what better project than a TV show with
numbered episodes! So today I introduce the first
of three test pilots that have been made in the past
couple months.
Everything about this episode was
just awkward to me. We saw an advance screening open
to the public and a radio station was doing all their
promotional stuff before the audience, and I was
in the twilight zone. That was CD101 a few months
back. During the movie I couldn't concentrate for
shit because I was still thinking about how incredible
it was that things were coming together. We saw this
movie on April 27th, I had just signed my
contract with Hollywood Screentest, and I was
buzzin'. After the movie Eric and I brainstormed
and came up with some rough ideas and he wrote up the
first one. The next day we went over the script and
worked out some things. I wasn't THRILLED with
it, only because I felt it could be much funnier.
Then again this was the first, and my first 4tvs set
SUCKS in comparison to the later ones. But I was
still irked because I wanted to use those 4tvs sets as
a growing point, but since Eric hadn't seen them all,
it was like we were starting all over. Oh
well.
We then had to film an opening and
the first episode. Filming the open was too fun. It
was one long day of stupidness. You can definitely see
it in my face. The episode itself was pretty boring,
and I was just unsatisfied. I couldn't put my finger
on it, but I just didn't find it funny.
I wanted the TVS to be total smart asses. The
movie itself was good, but there were so many funny
things we could've said, that were just held
back...then again, I wasn't sure what those
were...lol.
Timing the tvs was a bitch.
I don't have the same equipment I had at
CD101 when I was making the 4tvs sets. It took
quite some time to pull it off live. When it was all
over, all I could think was that the next one will be
better. But every story has a beginning, and
here
it is.
